For those of you who do not wish to stay on campus, we have provided you with other options. Below is a list of local hotels and motels along with our “Quiet House”.

The Sonatina Quiet House

Within walking distance, precisely ¾ of a mile away from Sonatina camp

Some of our participants prefer to have or need more quiet quarters during Sonatas. The option to rent a room in the Sonatina Quiet House is available to you. The house has 3 bedrooms (two upstairs and one down), 2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, a large living room and a sun porch.

Each bedroom has the option to be set up for you with a queen-sized bed or two single beds per room.

The neighborhood is safe, quiet and the house itself sits on three quarters of an acre.

The fee is $55 per person, per night, per room. If a person requests sharing the room with another, the fee would be $30 per person, per night, per room. This fee is in addition to your tuition to Sonata camp and due before the program starts.

Occasionally we have faculty and staff stay at the quiet house. It is understood that the house will be shared with others whether there are participants or faculty or staff staying at the house.

At the moment, there is no extra piano placed at the house.
