Intermezzo

sonatina1We are pleased to offer a new way to have a mini-Sonata experience - for those who can't take a week off from work or family!

These long weekends will have a smaller number of participants, the possibility of a private or double room, more practice time (no shifts!), participation in master classes without the pressure of a final concert, all culminating with a Duet/Solo Bash or optional solo repertoire on Sunday afternoon. These weekends were designed to supplement your regular Sonata experience and to facilitate more Sonata reunions. However, if this is to be your introduction to the 10-day Sonata camp, we'd welcome you and hope that you'll join us for a longer stay again in the future.

Please come prepared with a duet (1 piano/4 hands or 2 pianos/4 hands). Participants will be working on this music with the faculty during the Sonata Intermezzo Program, if you would like that to be your focus of piano study.

A lot gets accomplished in a short time. It's like a Sonata booster shot. And the weekend was relaxed and fun; it's a great way to rejuvenate your playing
